As part of ensuring that the lives and properties of the people of Imo State remains safer, the authority of the Nigerian Police Force Imo State Command under the watch of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Okey Ezike, yesterday officially commissioned about 15 refurbished security patrol vans to enhance effective security.

At the event, the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha was ably represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Uche Nwosu, who in his words commended the Imo State Command for their seriousness in the fight against crime and other social vices in Imo State.

The Governor further assured his support to the command and advised the police to always dwell in partnership and synergy with the Rescue Mission led administration of the state.

Responding, the Imo Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, expressed satisfaction to use the refurbishment fund given by the Governor judiciously and promised to keep the state calm against the evil wishes of the men of the under-world and hoodlums who do not want the progress of the state in particular and Nigerians in general.

The CP further unveiled that his command has lifted an action known as “operation push force”.
