Apapa Area 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service says it did not seize any consignment belonging to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The Command's Area Controller, Mr. Eporwei Edike, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday. He spoke against the backdrop of news reports, which alleged that the service seized the federation's consignment for football teams. Edike said that the federation was free to approach the agency if they need any help. Meanwhile, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam for questioning over allegations of corruption during his 8-year rule.
The politician who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is expected to defend himself against allegations that he embezzled millions of naira towards the end of his tenure. However, it was gathered that the EFCC had questioned the immediate past Commissioner of Finance, Mr. Omadachi Oklobia on Friday over allegations of corruption. Suswam, according to EFCC sources is scheduled to meet with EFCC investigators on Monday in Abuja.
