Well-meaning son of Imo State, from Owerri zone extraction and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State, Prof. Jude Ejike Njoku has told Imo people to only vote into power most credible, tested, trusted and refined persons for Governor in 2019, like himself who has something special to offer as Governor, if elected.

Prof. Njoku, made this known to some media moguls in his New Owerri residence, during an interactive session with them. The University Don, Njoku, further described himself as the most qualified, capable, tested and trusted to man the affairs of Imo State in 2019, as he harped on the urgent needs for the print, electronics and social media to work in synergy with him to actualize his Governorship ambition.
Prof. Njoku, further stated that he is very serious and interested to lead Imo State to her expected promised land where the rule of law would be adhered and obeyed strictly, saying that “If I'm elected as the Governor, I shall reform the civil service, restore lost value of education in the state, restructure the government, pay attention to rural-urban migration, regularly pay workers salaries and pensions, improve the social and economic welfare of Imolites, improve the education standard into qualitative education, conduct Local Government elections, create jobs opportunities for the youths especially the employable ones and attract foreign investors”.
He called on Imo people not to entertain any kind of fear, even as he reassured them of effective protection of lives and property of citizens as the Chief Security Officer of the state. Prof. Njoku, said “though I'm not a career politician, but I do not associate myself with leaders who are failures like the present Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, who has failed almost in all ramifications.
He described APC as a failed political party both at the federal to the state levels, positing that “I'll remain in PDP and shall retire in PDP”. He therefore condemned some political jobbers from Owerri zone whom he described their attitudes as political harlotry, those who do not have general interest of the masses at heart rather for their own selfish interest. The former FUTO Vice Chancellor, former Commissioner for Lands and a Manager of an Executive Administrative Conglomerate, equally called on Imolites to support him to become the next Imo Governor with the view that “since I was able to manage the affairs of an institution (FUTO) in the past without embarking on any academic strike as the Vice Chancellor, I will also manager and direct the administrative affairs of the state, if elected as the Governor”. The meeting was organized by a strong PDP member, a community leader from Oru East LGA in Orlu zone, Hon. Chief Daniel Nwanojuo, who swore to deliver Prof. Njoku in 2019.
