Foremost Nigerian politician and philanthropist of Imo state origin, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has commended the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN on its efforts to alleviate the sufferings of many Nigerians especially the through her “Skill Acquisition Support Policy”.

Chief Iwuanyanwu made the commendations yesterday Monday at the official flag-off of the Skill Acquisition Scheme held at the Glass House Ugwu Orji, to assist young men and women who are unemployed to acquire skills to enable them pursue occupations that will not only help them earn good living but also contribute to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Nigeria.
He noted that the program became realistic sequel to the partnership between Iwuanyanwu Foundation, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and SEEDC. According to him, “For us, it is an important milestone in our determination to support the government in her efforts to reduce unemployment and under-employment of youths in the country”. The philanthropist posited that after the flag-off, participants will commence training in sundry vocations which include: (i) Power & Energy (Inverters and Solar Installation) (ii) Agro-Allied (Vet Med., Poultry and Fishery) (iii) Film & Photography (iv) Interlocking/Scredding (v) Computer Repairs, ICT, GSM and Recharge Card Printing (vi) Construction and Building Technology (Paint making) (vii) Automobile (viii) Fashion Designing, Ankara Shoes and Bags, Bead Making (ix) Cosmetology (Air Refresher, Liquid Soap, Perfumes, Detergent etc) (x) Food Processing and Preservation (Baking, Confectioneries and Catering Services-Cake Shops, Meat Pie).
He furthered that upon completion of the 3 months training, successful participants will be issued Certificates that will enable them access loans from Commercial Banks to set up their own business enterprises, adding that Iwuanyanwu Foundation has taken liberty to commend the Governor of Central Bank Mr. Godwin Emefiele and his team for the very resourceful and professional manner they have managed the finances of Nigeria during a difficult period in the history of our country Nigeria. Posterity will always appreciate their efforts.
He declared that what the people numbering over 200 able bodied young men and women witnessed was part of the efforts of Central Bank of Nigeria in collaboration with Iwuanyanwu Foundation to solve the social problem of unemployment, praying that by the Grace of God, the partnership will no doubt become a beacon of hope to many Nigerians who have lost hope of having opportunity to make dignified livelihood. He also charged the youths to keenly seize the opportunity to improve their economic condition and the economy of the country, Nigeria.
