In a bid to ensure that nobody was left behind in the efforts to re-incorporate youths into leadership positions for effective service delivery, Dr. Marcelli Oguh foundation Sunday at Central School Itu playground kicked off a football competition for the youths of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte federal constituency.

Speaking with Nigeria Moment on telephone, the proprietor and founder of Marcelli Oguh Foundation, Dr. Marcelli Oguh declared that the competition was aimed at harnessing the potentials of the younger generation to the benefit of the society.
According to him, he chose to expand the scope of the Foundation beyond community developments, skill acquisition, youths and women empowerment to international participations through soccer. He opined that sports and sporting activities have assisted many youths positively in re-moulding their rate of reasoning, actions and inactions, adding that many Nigerians are millionaires through sports and assured that most talented would be assisted to secure clubs in Europe and other places.
He maintained that the competition is the first of its kind since the history of Ezinihitte and Ahiazu Mbaise as it features the entire 24 INEC wards in the federal constituency with each ward totally equipt and decorated with all it takes to make this competition a memorable one. It is also targeted at raising the hidden talents in our youths which are to be sponsored for a higher National and International teams by this foundation.
