Imo people and the global society at large are watching with enthusiasm the political developments and cross-fires playing-up in the rescue mission administration, particularly between governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and his acclaimed political son, Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere.

Records have it that governor Okorocha and Madumere have been allies since about 25yrs ago before coming into political lime-light. They have kept faith but at the expense and detriment of Madumere. The history reported that Madumere has suffered undue physical injuries and assaults in the process of protecting his bosom boss, Rochas Okorocha locally and internationally. These, he assimilated to consolidate his confidence and trust in Rochas and their romances.
Among the prominent injuries he sustained was the Ideato North attack during the 2011 campaigns where Madumere lost part of his body to an acid attack targeted at Okorocha, but Madumere offered himself to quench it and bear the brunt. Within the same campaign period, he was detained several weeks by former president Olusegun Obasanjo because of Rochas on the premise of building trust. As humane as Madumere, he never travelled out of the reach of the governor without Okorocha's express permission (as submissive as the biblical injunction) even if it affects Madumere's life and immediate family.
The question everyone is asking is what is the sin of Madumere that could warrant these heights of intimidations and frustrations, most worrisomely his impeachment from office, coming from the man he almost died for with irreversible sacrifices? Does Madumere deserve these after years of trust?
According to reports, the only governor's grouse against his Deputy was alleged to have been hinged on his blatant refusal to support his son-in-law, Mr. Uche Nwosu who the governor wants to succeed him in 2019 and other sundry issues bothering on policies and their negative effects on the people. According to research, the worry of majority of the people is not that Madumere is being removed from office by the governor based on their estranged relationships, but their worry is that the seed the governor is about sowing is not healthy as a people.
That is to say that the governor is eroding trust and confidence amongst allies and by implications, it is his greatest undoing. There is no trust and there is no confidence. Again, Prince Madumere was said to have insisted on power shift to Owerri zone against having a son-in-law who is also from Orlu zone that has ruled the State for about 16 years. Even if the governor succeeds in removing him from office as deputy governor, it would be difficult to foist his son-in-law on Imo people. Nevertheless, if the governor could frustrate the man, Madumere in like manner without remorse, there is no rationale that he would not do the same to another person including Uche Nwosu in nearest future who is a mere son-in-law. Rochas and Uche are on partial acquaintances and cannot rejoice of victory in their recent alliance without turmoil unlike Madumere who has seen it all starting from grass and gray heirs till date.
