State executive council of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA in Imo state has described as embarrassing and undemocratic the purported suspension of the state chairman of the party by non- members of the party.

Addressing journalists Wednesday, Nov.7th 2018 at the party's secretariat along Egbu Road Owerri, Imo APGA state Chairman, Barr. Peter Ezeobi, frowned over the suspension notice and described it as rubbish, saying that the action of none party members cannot fly.  Ezeobi disclosed that the National leadership of APGA had in the past suspended his Deputy Chairman, Dr. Chima Nwosu, the State Organizing Secretary, Hon. Steve Anugwom and some other members (Excos) of the party for anti-party activities. Ezeobi maintained that Chima Nwosu and 6 other members of the party have no capacity to suspend him as the Chairman of Imo APGA because they were disowned by the National authorities of the party. Adding his voice, the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief George Nkwoji, posited that the mere mentioning of the chairman's suspension was lacking in merit.
He called on APGA members in the state to disregard the said publications and it does not hold waters.
In a vote voice, the members dismissed the allegations leveled against Ezeobi and the SWC as baseless and fictitious, saying that it was done with malice. They crowned their decision with an implicit vote of confidence on Barr Ezeobi and the entire SWC and equally affirmed Senator Ifeanyi Ararume as the Guber candidate of APGA for 2019 polls.
