Members of the " Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, Imo Sate chapter Wednesday  Nov. 21, 2018 suspended the Chairman of the Association of the Imo Broadcasting Cooperation, IBC, Chapter, Bishop Tonnie Eluchay, over alleged gross misconduct and embezzlement of check off dues of their members between 8-9months.

Members of the " Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, Imo Sate chapter Wednesday  Nov. 21, 2018 suspended the Chairman of the Association of the Imo Broadcasting Cooperation, IBC, Chapter, Bishop Tonnie Eluchay, over alleged gross misconduct and embezzlement of check off dues of their members between 8-9months.

Announcing the suspension at a crucial meeting of the union held at IBC office along Achike Udenwa road Owerri, Chairman of the investigations panel, Comr. Stanley Chikadibia averred that the reason surrounding the suspension of Eluchay was accord on alleged fraud, insubordination and gross misconduct.  
Comr. Chikadibia, said for now the IBC Chairman was not guilty of the charges until proven to be true, disclosing that Mr. Pal Emeremgini, assumes IBC Acting Chairman. The State Chairman of the Union, Comr. Austin Onwuegbuchulem ceased the opportunity to call on the Ministry of Information, Imo State, through the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mrs. Uzoma Uwandu, to release the promotion of IBC workers as directed by the Governor Rochas Okorocha.
Onwuegbuchulem concluded by telling the workers of IBC to remain calm while investigation would be ongoing. However, all efforts to communicate Bishop Eluchy proved abortive as at the press time.
