Community leader and House of Representatives candidate for Ngor Okpala/Aboh Mbaise federal constituency in Imo state on the platform of the Accord party, Barr Raymond Onyeugo has urged Nigerians to vote based on individual capacities and capabilities and not party, adding that voting should not be anchored on persons instead it should be based on what the people stand to gain.

Onyeugo made the assertions Wednesday when he hosted a cross section of journalists of Ngor Okpala extraction at his Umuorisha Umuohiagu country home, saying that the people were more concerned with the under-representation of the area by the incumbent member, Hon. Bede Eke who he scored below average. The Abuja based legal expert said he would not blame much on Hon. Bede Eke because he has low capacity to associate with decision makers in the country and within the legislature and consequently, it is the people who would definitely suffer the misnomer. He quickly scored Bede Eke zero on employment and accessibility, describing his representation as the worst ever experienced since the present republic with the view that no one can offer what he does not posse.

On why he joined the lawmaking race, Onyeugo declared that “I’m the best first eleven to salvage the constituency in this 2019 race”. According to him, in character, competence, person, exposure, antecedents and credibility, there is nothing to write home about the representation of Ngor Okpala/ Aboh Mbaise in the National Assembly presently, hence he asked the people to send him, because he is more credible and with the contacts to attract dividends of democracy legitimately.

He said Bede has done his best but that his best is not good enough for the people, adding that the area needs more force, dynamism, credible, competent and exposed person to salvage the area, opining that National Assembly is not only for people to go and receive salaries and allowance, it entails enthroning participatory representations to the benefit of mankind.  He therefore warned the people not to send mediocres, rather they should vote for firebrands who can change the ugly narrative so that the area can be on the same page with other areas.
