House Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 enumerated lists of those he identified as his political enemies, detractors and betrayals who do not even want him to succeed politically in Imo State and in Nigeria.

The Imo State Governor, Rochas who is also the Imo APC Senatorial candidate for Imo West senatorial district in the Feb.16 polls, said " I am not going as a senator for Orlu zone alone, rather I am going to the House of Senate to represent Imo people and Ndi-Igbo, to be their eyes and a strong voice to the entire Igbo race, when elected".
Okorocha while expressing disgust over the attitude of some politicians from Igbo land said, so many political bigwigs and political juggernauts from the South East in APC and other political parties do not want him to succeed politically because they knew his leadership capacity and political sagacity, that if he eventually wins as a Senator, that he might likely become the Senate President before 2023.
Some the people he described as his betrayals and enemies from Imo State and outside the state include:"the embattled Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, immediate past Secretary to the State Govt. Sir. George Eche, Former Imo State Secretary to the Govt., Sir. Jude Ejiogu, former Commissioner for Information, Hon.TEO Ekechi, the Former Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Prince Dr. Henry Okafor, former Works Commissioner, Ichie Best Mbanaso, Senator for Okigwe zone, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu, Organizing Secretary of APC, Hon. Barr. Emma Ibediro, his own son-in-law, Hon. Engr. Chuks Ololo, Minister for state, Education, Sir Anthony Anwuka, immediate past Imo APC State Chairman, Hillary Ekeh and immediate past Deputy Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Donatus Ozoemena amongst others.
Furthermore, the Governor accused the Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, and the National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshimhole as his arch-political detractors who have sworn not to allow him succeed.
He however described his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, who is the Imo Guber candidate on the political platform of the Action Alliance, AA, as the best candidate and the people's choice, come March 2  2019 guber poll.
The governor, furthered that despite Uche Nwosu candidates of other political parties such as Imo APGA, Sen. Ifeanyi Araraume, PDP, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Accord Party, Chief Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, APC, Sen. Hope Uzodinma and others as those who do not have anything good and tangible to offer, if elected as Governor, other than to come in to loot the state fund and public treasury. He called on Imolites to campaign, support and vote for his son-inlaw in the next month election exercise.
The Governor however sworn not to support the Imo APC guber candidate, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, describing the process that produced him candidate of the party as undemocratic, marred with injustice, imposition and evil actions orchestrated by the National Party Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
He called on Imolites especially the Journalists practicing in the state to “shine their” eyes and monitor the forthcoming elections with all their hearts, adding that INEC alone cannot and can never guarantee transparent election results, stressing that the commission needs the support and encouragement of all the electoral umpires
