Governorship candidate of the Sustainable National Party, SNP, Obinna Ikechukwu Munonye has declared his intention not to challenge the declaration of Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as the duly elected governor of Imo state due to the omission of his party's logo during the 2019 election.

In an affidavit he swore therein which was made available to Nigeria Moment, the SNP candidate furthered that he has never and will never instruct any person or group of persons to carry out any legal actions against the victory of Ihediaoha, adding that despite the fact that he is the person grossly injured by the omission of his party's logo at the polls, he has whole heartedly accepted the outcome of the election in good faith, insisting that he has disassociated himself from any attempt by anyone to drag Ihedioha to court, including his party.
According to him, he chose to join the governor-election to develop the state.
