Members of Owere Youth Development Union OYDU have appealed to political parties in Imo state to allow the youths who are described as leaders of tomorrow to participate in politics.
The group made the passionate appeal yesterday Monday when they paid a courtesy call on the publisher of Nigeria Moment newspapers, Dr. George Nkwoji at the corporate office of the newspaper in Owerri, noting that it has become imperative that youths should be allowed to showcase their administrative talents in order to move the nation and state forward.
Speaking at the event, president of OYDU, Oparandudu Eustace Angel noted that their sole interest is to ensure that youths participate actively in political activities and allowed to hold responsibilities as they are enterprising and so can be allowed in the decision making process at the state level.
In his responds, Dr. Nkwoji commended them for their zeal and charged them to be sincere in the quest. Nkwoji who is a native of Egbelu Obube community in Owerri North council area of Imo state urged them to come out and join in the struggle and building of political structures and parties, noting that the opportunities which they sort for can be possible and must be worked out by the level of their involvements, adding that nobody can take it to them in their bedrooms. So they need to equally work for their salvation.
